The Helmets Are Available to Anyone Under 16 in Volusia County
The Port Orange police department is promoting bike safety by handing out free bike helmets to children and teens in Volusia County.

In a press release the Port Orange police are encouraging parents in Volusia County to be aware of their children when they are riding their bikes and to make sure they always wear a bike helmet. Hundreds of children and teens are injured or die each year when they fall off their bike while not wearing a helmet and hit their heads.
