The World Food Programme  is dedicated to fighting hunger around the world. Hunger and starvation happen in many countries around the globe, most often developing countries, war torn areas and areas which have been struck by natural disasters. According to the WFP, farmers, women and children are the ones most often affected by hunger and malnutrition. One disturbing fact listed on WFP is that 1 child will die every 6 seconds from hunger.

WFP list several ways that you can help fight against hunger around the world through social media networks, donations and through websites like Free Rice. WFP has also sent out a call to all bloggers for Bloggers Against Hunger, a campaign designed for bloggers to raise awareness and funds for the one billion people worldwide who go to bed hungry each night.

Please take a moment to see what you can do to help fight against hunger by visiting the World Food Programme‘s website today.
